I used to scan the notes left by campers and then put them on this site but they were taking a long time to download so I have started to type them up. Every one of these notes are genuine. Some comments are e-mails sent to me after people have stayed.
I keep a book of the notes as they mean a lot to me so if you want to check my claim you can do so.

Thank you for an amazing time. We climbed Snowdon for the first time and the weather was terrible but coming back to these amazing facilities made it amazing and comfortable. I would recommend here to everyone and me and my girlfriend got engaged!!! Thank you so so much hope to see you again

To improve the comfort you could put more soil down to help the tent pegs. All our pegs got destroyed as the ground was fill of rocks so we was repegging every night. As the tent would not hold its position, as especially as it is always wet here, but that is just constructive criticism. Still enjoyed our stay a lot.

Congratulations on getting engaged and making it up Snowdon on such a bad day.
We are consistently trying to improve the quality of our pitches and do indeed try to remove rocks and add add soil. As we are part of a mountain this is an ongoing job and takes time.

Notes from campers 2011

Fantastic little site and the facilities are ace. Home from home. Private wash room, what a luxury. And a shower head you can move. All in the basic one price. Well Done!
Suggestion - heating in the washrooms!! For us out of season less hardy lot.

Really enjoyed our stay in Silver Birches Camping. Even though the weather wasn't very nice but Ian and Marion's hospitality made everything fabulous.
We climbed Ranger Path to summit after we packed & left the campsite. Then we were drenched due to the awful weather. Luckily Ian let us use their facilities to get changed and dry our dog! Of course we did put money in the honesty box. Thanks, definitely come again and spend more time.

Stayed four nights Tuesday 6th - Saturday 10th superb site, facilities are excellent and the cleanliness of them is a credit to you.
will definately stop again!! .

This is the best campsite that we've ever been to!
Well stocked, well thought out, clean and you've thought of everything!
We will defiantly be back.
The only thing I would like to mention is on the web site it doesn't do the place justice. From the pictures our first glace the site looks as thought it is actually on the main road, which it obviously isn't. We weren't going to come here, until I looked on Google street view and saw that it is elevated and away from the road.

Really well-equipped campsite with good number of showers and loos. Appreciated the facilities for washing up and the advice from Ian on routes up Snowdon was very helpful. Overall, a very positive experience at Silver Birches- thank you!

We have had a very enjoyable stay with you at ‘Silver Birches.’ We have been to loads of places and the campsite is in easy reach of all these. Only one suggestion- the noise curfew I do believe is between 11pm and 7am. No problem at night, but on a number of occasions in the morning, your guests were packing tents and banging car doors at 6am. These were probably ‘quick getaway hikers.’ Could you just remind your guests of the 7am pack away start. With thanks. I’m sure we will be seeing you again in the future and will recommend your site to our friends.

Excellent site, lovely and welcoming, really loved having a folder of walks and information about the local area. Very pleased to notice that a comment someone else had put up was changed that day. Only comment is a car being parked on camping area in front of tent, blocking some of our view. We will definitely stay again if coming back to this area. Thank you.

Hi Marion and Ian. We’ve really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come again! Our only (minor) suggestion is a couple of hooks for towels/ coats by the hairdryer. The ‘luxuries’ such as the microwave and paper towels supplement the much-appreciated, consistently hot water and showers, and the freezer for our ice-packs. See you again next year.

One of the best site we have ever stayed on. It is hard to think of many improvements to suggest! Perhaps j cloths in the washrooms so that campers can clean the sinks after use! On pint cartons of long life milk may help some campers payment could be made by honesty box Thank you for a wonderful few days in a delightful location.

Like tumble dryer great idea. and good selection of brochures and info on local attractions. Quiet site. Recommendation - giant wall map of where attractions are in relation to campsite.

I stayed 4 nights at your campsite. and must say that it has been the best by far! You were so friendly from the minute I arrived until I left. I thought the coffee on arrival was a lovely touch and appreciated the advice on the local walks and on top of all that the weather was pretty good as well. I hope to be back in the future,
