Notes left by campers, 2010

I used to scan the notes left by campers and then put them on this site but they were taking a long time to download so I have started to type them up.

Every one of these notes are genuine, and unedited. Some comments are e-mails sent to me after people have stayed.

Any replies or comment I make are in black capital letters.

I keep a book of the notes as they mean a lot to me so if you want to check my claim you can do so.

Fantastic campsite and place to stay. I think the only suggestion would be to provide postcodes for sat nav's to aid Ian's already fantastic walks and attractions information. Cheers.
A VERY GOOD IDEA, WE WILL PROBABLY AMMEND AND UPDATE THE INFORMATION IN THE CLOSED SEASON.

Fantastic campsite and place to stay. I think the only sugestion Our stay here has been excellent the services are very good and the hospitality was good.

Thank you very much. We've had a fabulous time - so much in such a short time and that's despite the 'children' operating different hours from me! Here is a replacement Anglesey map. We loved the walk and mashed up the map on route as we loved it so much - so glad to keep it for future. We note that you don't claim to control the weather but feel none the less you have made a special effort on our behalf. Leaving soggy but happy.

Sorry not going to recommend this site to anybody, its too nice so next time we come back it won't be full, feel we came as customers but left as friends.

Can you put a noise limit on snoring?

Just because you ask for it: a sugestion: Make a little roof in front of the doors of the kitchen and the bathrooms. You can put your clothes under it when it rains and the wet mud will be less in kitchen and corridor.

THESE WERE A LOVELY GROUP, WHO REMAINED CHEERFUL AND POLITE DESPITE HAVING WALKED ALL DAY IN THE RAIN AND BEING SOAKED THROUGH.

How about a bench outside the washroom in case you need to wait for a shower.
I HAVE PUT A COUPLE OF CHAIRS OUTSIDE THE WASHROOM NOW.

Our second year & still wonderful. Facilities v. good & clean. Tap in garage leaks though & may be causing wet patch behind sink because when turned only partway the end which goes into the header sprays down behind the sink.
See you next year we hope.

ALTHOUGH ALL THE HAND WASH HEATERS ARE NEW THEY HAVE NOT PROVED REALIABLE ENOUGH AND WE ARE GOING TO GET A COMPLETELY NEW SYSTEM PUT IN. WE ARE IN A QUEUE ON OUR PLUMBERS LIST!

Fabulous campsite. I'll definitely be returning. Great that you allowed the dogs too, although I think less is more next time! Very helpful & friendly def 5 star.

Felt very welcomed when we arrived. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even when we troubled you for safety pins at 9.30pm for our rubbish tent.
Facilities are excellent and campsite is lovely and flat and quiet with lovely views.
I don't think anything could be improved on ( except the weather)

Thank you for our lovely visit to your site. We were hoping to catch you before we left but due to our bed malfunction and leaky tent we have decided to leave tonight.

We have loved the campsite. Spotlessly clean facilities and we felt very at home. The tea & biscuits on arrival was very welcome the nicest touch of any campsite we know of.
Your entry in Tiny Campsites is well deserved and we look forward to coming back.

Thanks for another peaceful short break/long week-end. The circular from camp was very scenic if a bit steep! Would appreciate parasols for the picnic table.

Very nice campsite I wouldn't have minded details of buses and the train also. Any info on the Snowdon paths also would be useful. Very nice time and great site will be back, thank you.
WE HAVE PUT THE BUS TIMETABLE IN THE INFO FOLDER IN THE CAMPERS GARAGE. THERE IS ALSO A LEAFLET THERE ON THE TRAINS. AS THERE ARE MANY OPTIONS ON THE SNOWDON PATHS I ALWAYS SAY TALK TO IAN WHO CAN ADVISE AND SHOW YOU THE DIFFERENT ROUTES ON MAPS.

Absolutely brilliant campsite! All me and Steven wanted was a quiet week-end and thanks to you we got it! I can't believe I managed Snowdon! We hope to return in the summer. This is an amazing place.

Thank you for a wonderful stay on your peaceful site. Everything has been first class ands we would love to return. We took a hike using Ian's 'guide' for the circular path from the campsite and it was completely enjoyable. Thanks again.

Campsite is lovely & ideal base for hiking in area especially for Snowdon & Tryfan. Ian and Marion are really friendly and helpful. Campsite is quiet and offers privacy as well. Are the little attentions to detail are lovely e.g. bath mat. only thing I think that may make it even better is maybe one of those wall heaters in the shower rooms which can be switched off like the fan after 30 secs etc. Lovely stay and will definitely recommend to friends and to come back again.

Thank you both for a fantastic stay at your campsite. Your kindness in keeping my food chilled and keeping my tent pitched whilst out on the hills was much appreciated. The weather couldn't have been better for this trip. "All in all" thanks to you both for the warm welcome and stay that I'd had here at Silver Birches.

The attention to detail is fantastic as well as providing simple basics such as washing up liquid, unfortunately there is no washing up brush and/or sponge.
I USUALLY PUT A CLEAN CLOTH AND SPONGE OUT EACH DAY, SORRY I MUST HAVE TAKEN ONE SET FOR CLEANING AND FORGOTTEN TO PUT THE CLEAN ONES OUT.
