Pied Flycatcher

We have several nest boxes around the campsite but the most popular one seems to the box opposite the shower room. The blue tits and great tits have visited it regularly but over the past week it is the great tit that has been seen taking in nest material. Today, however, a pied flycatcher has made several visits in and around the box. ( Last year a flycatcher used this nest box.) Watch this space for further updates!
19th April The flycatcher has been visiting the nest box and spending some time inside it. Two great tits came and drove it off but it didn't go far and is back again sitting outside the nest box. For some reason a robin is also trying to drive the flycatcher away
