Notes left by campers, 2008
I use to scan the notes left by campers and then put them on this site but they were taking a long time to download so I have started to type them up.
Every one of these notes are genuine, and unedited. I keep a book of the originals as they mean a lot to me so if you want to check my claim you can do so.
ANY REPLIES OR COMMENTS WE HAVE MADE ARE IN BLACK CAPITAL LETTERS.

Great site. Easy access. Very clean with washrooms and showers with those
little extras much appreciated. Owners very helpful and notice board
a good idea with detailed walks and regular weather reports, timetables
and places to eat etc. Wonderful position surrounded by mountains. Good
roads. Had a great time. Thank you Ian and Marion for showing such care.

IAN'S SUGGESTION - A WILD CAMPING THEME - WE TURN OFF ALL WATER AND
REMOVE TOILET PAPER ETC.

Very nice campsite, all amenities ok, shower curtain
could be better, tap for hot water system not great, not much hot water
through in kitchen area.
A fridge would be a good idea instead of freezer, would come back, thanks.
SOMEONE HAD REMOVED THE GREY PRESSURE VALVE FROM
THE KITCHEN WATER HEATING UNIT. WITHOUT THIS THE WATER DOES NOT GET HOT
ENOUGH TO WASH GREASY THINGS. I
HAVE HAD IT REPLACED AND IT CERTAINLY GETS HOT NOW. I HAVE TRIED TO AVOID
PUTTING UP TOO MANY NOTICES BUT I HAVE NOW PUT A NOTICE ASKING PEOPLE NOT
TO REMOVE THIS SO HOPEFULLY THE PROBLEM WON'T OCCUR AGAIN.
I HAVE BOUGHT
NEW SHOWER CURTAINS.
WE DECIDED A FREEZER AND THE LOAN OF COOL BLOCKS WOULD BE
BETTER THAN A FRIDGE. THAT WAY THERE ARE NO ARGUMENTS ABOUT WHOSE FOOD
IS WHOSE AND WE ARE NOT LEFT WITH FOOD IN THE FREEZER WHEN CAMPERS LEAVE
AND
THE JOB OF TRYING TO SORT OUT THE FRESH FOOD FROM THE LEFT OVER FOOD. (
EVER SEEN A FRIDGE IN A HALLS OF RESIDENCE AT THE END OF TERM?) WHAT DO OTHER
CAMPERS THINK?

We had a great time here! Wonderful campsite, best showers
we've ever seen on a campsite 
Unfortunately
we could only manage to walk one of the provided walks but it was very nice
and if the others are just as nice, there wonderful!!

We cannot say this site has lived up to its reviews.
When rules are set, it would be appreciated if they were enforced - such
as noise after 11pm and before 7am
Toilets & showers could also be cleaner.
I would not recommend this site to others.
I AM SORRY YOU WERE DISSAPOINTED AND THAT YOU DID NOT LEAVE A NAME OR
TELL ME AT THE TIME THERE WAS A PROBLEM. I DID NOT HEAR ANY NOISE IN THE
HOUSE
BUT
IF
YOU
HAD
RUNG
THE
BELL BY THE NOTICE BOARD I WOULD HAVE SPOKEN TO THE CAMPERS CONCERNED. THE
SAME
APLLIES TO THE WASHROOMS. IAN AND I CLEAN THEM EVERY DAY HOWEVER I CAN UNDERSTAND
IN WET WEATHER THEY MAY SOON GET WET, AGAIN, IF YOU HAD SEEN ME I WOULD
HAVE DONE WHAT I COULD.

We had a great time here. The campsite is lovely
and peaceful and the owners are extremely helpful. Showers/loos/washing up
areas are all excellent.
We stayed by the stream but the midges weren't too bad. The site has
a lovely 'cared for' feeling - thank you for a great holiday!
